I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!

Sorry for screaming that so loudly, but I am sooooo happy!!!! I have been unemployed since January. It was beginning to feel like I would never work again. The most awesome part of it is, this is the job that I really wanted. I worked for this company about 12 years ago. It is a health insurance company. I did customer service the last time I worked there. This time I will be working in the Enrollment department. No phones......YES! Happy Dance!

Have 2 layouts to share, still on a scrappy high. The first one was for a challenge over at TallyScrapper (http://www.tallyscrapper.com/). The challenge is a weekly challenge that goes along with the show "Project Runway". We have to scrap depending on the designer of the week on the show. This week was a plain Jane designer. Lots of clean lines. I broke the rules with my inking and distressing. OOPS. I just can't do plain so well.

GAH! Thought I figured out the sideways thing! Amanda! I need more help!!!!! LOL. Anyway...used some Bo Bunny and some LYB on this one. Of course, distressed and inked as well. Not so clean, but, hey, I tried.

This one is for the new "My Creative Sketches" blog http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/
This sketch is just awesome! There are some really cool prizes up for grabs, so I thought I would give it a shot! I think you should, too!!!

Welp, that's about all for me for now. Until next time....

Just Dropping Off A Few Layouts....

I've been scrapping a good bit the last week...yayy!!!! The mojo is flowing! Love weeks like this, and definitely have to take advantage of them when they happen!

This layout was done for a challenge over at TallyScrapper.com. There had to be layers (check), dimension (check), a cluster (check) and lace or tulle (flower in right corner is made of tulle-check). This is Nich the first time he was at the beach (age 2.5). He called the ocean "big bathtub". Used Echo Park's "Splash" collection on this one.

This is a pic of Nich's 3rd grade class at the end of the year. Used MME's "Lime Twist" line on this one.

This is just a card that I made for a friend that just had her first baby (boy). Used Simple Stories "Baby" line for this.

I've been using my Cricut a lot more lately! I'm really starting to love using it. Now, I just need to get some more cartridges! Thank Goodness Michaels and ACMoore have them on sale a lot.
I'm going to need to place a scrappy order soon. There's lots of stuff coming out from CHA that I "must have".

Well, it's really late. And, I'm really tired. Glad for a lazy day tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get to do more scrappin'!

Until next time.......

Doing the Happy Dance!!!!!

So excited!!!!! Can finally share the happy news....I was chosen to be September's Guest Designer for the Scraptastic Kit Club!!!!!!!! SQUEE!!!! Here's the link of the blog with the announcement Linkgoing public : http://networkedblogs.com/lN1t7. Can't wait to get my kit and play ....always love the kits!!!!!

Wanna share a couple layouts I've done recently:

Again....please pretend it is right side up. Need the powers that be to figure out the whole sideways thing for me :( . Pic is of Nich just chillin' in a friend's pool. Used Fancy Pants "beach babe" line for this LO.

This one is of Nich and his buddy Liam's little sister, JoAnna. She just loves Nich to pieces. Her older sister and I always joke that these two will get married someday. Used Echo Park's "Summer Days" line.

This is a rock formation near my house called Dinosaur Rock...as, you can see why (even sideways). Such a fun place to go for a hike. Used Bella Blvd.'s "Mr. Boy" collection on this one.

Last but definitely not least....and so glad this one showed up right side up. This is Jillian and John on their wedding day. Made this layout as a suprise for her. The title is the song they danced to, "The Only Exception" by Paramore. Used October Afternoon's "5 and Dime" collection.

Off to run some errands.....Until Next time.....

Beautiful Soul...August TallyScrapper Kit!!

Here's the August kit for TallyScrapper. It's called "Beautiful Soul". The papers are so rich in color. The zebra striped ribbon was so fun to play with and the flowers are gorgeous!!!!! Tons of stuff for only $21.00!!! I made 2 layouts and 2 cards with it and I still have TONS of stuff left over.

Here is what I created with the kit:

Just a card I made for a friend going through a hard time. Everything on here was from the kit except for the cardstock and the ink.

Here's either a birthday card or just to cheer someone up. I love how these colors coordinate so well and just pop on the black background. I cut the zebra ribbon and used it under the flower. Everything is from the kit here except for the letters and the cardstock.

Of course something had to be sideways...gah! I'll never know why it does this on my blog. Oh well, just pretend it is right side up. This pic reminded me so much of the picture for the movie "Forrest Gump", hence the title. Only the brown letters are from the kit, the rest are from my stash. Everything else, except for the cardstock, ink, tissue paper and cross-stitch mesh is from the kit. I even used the prima packaging that the flowers came on....it matched perfectly!!!

Lastly, and my favorite layout that I made with the kit. Took this picture at the pond at a local park. I wanted Nicholas to dip his feet in the water...he was so afraid to because of the fish and geese. He finally did, a little bit....made me think of this title. I thought the zebra ribbon tied the title together perfectly. Everything here is kit except for the letters, the pink and blue flower, the bling and the cardstock.

You must go now to http://www.tallyscrapper.com/ right now and get yours!!!!!

Until next time....
