Just Another Manic Monday...

...wish it were Sunday, 'cause that's my fun day... OH, my bad, I'm supposed to be writing a blog post here, not singing! Even though it is yucky and rainy outside, in addition to being Monday, I do have a couple EXCITING things to share!!

First of all...today is the day a new challenge is up at "These Are A Few of My Favorite Things". The challenge this time is to scrap your favorite feature. Is it your hair, your face, your daughter's smile? Can be you or someone else! This was such a fun challenge to do!! It was also my very first DT layout for "Fave Things"!! Hope I made "Boss Lady" proud! Please come over to the blog and join us in the challenge: http://www.whatisyourfavething.blogspot.com/.
Here is my layout:

My favorite feature has always been my eyes. It's funny, when I was younger, I used to get tired of hearing people compliment me on them...now I can't hear it enough.
Used Echo Park's "Little Girl" line on this layout! Love the bright colors!!!!! Some Prima, Zva Creative and Petaloo (from ma girl, Jill). All of the title letters are American Craft Thickers.

Did this layout last night. I've been doing a lot of playing around with my new camera. Nicholas has been such a good sport at letting me snap pics of him.

GAH! I thought we were past this "sideways" stuff! I don't get it!!!! Anyway...Used the new MME "Stella and Rose" line on this one. Lots of distress ink, Prima and Petaloo flowers and some Zva bling! Again, all the letters are American Crafts Thickers. The title "My Life Would Suck Without You" is a Kelly Clarkson song.

Thought I would share a few more pics I took with the camera. I'm loving it now that I am not so afraid of it.

We had a fun day yesterday! Went out for lunch and then to Fort Hunter and Italian Lake for some play and picture taking! Can't wait until our next nice day to get out again!

I should be getting my first "Darling Divas" kit in the mail any day now! Can't wait to start scrapping with it!!!

Well, it's time to make the doughnuts...not really, but I have stuff to do today. Wish I could just stay home...hate the rain! Oh well, I guess I won't melt.

Until next time...

I Whip My Hair Back and Forth...

Just needed a song for my blog title! That's all (o; !! Let's see....lots to talk about this time around! Got my tax return!!! Did a little retail therapy...okay, a lot of retail therapy! Got a new computer, a Canon Rebel, a Cricut Expression with 4 cartridges and LOTS of scrappy supplies are on their way to me! Oh well, tax time is like Christmas...only happens once a year!

I have also joined another Design Team. It is a brand new kit club called Darling Divas. It was started by my good friend, Amanda. Please check us out here: http://darlingdivaskits.blogspot.com/. I'm really excited to be working with her and can't wait to get to know the other two girls on the team! And, of course, can't wait to get the first kit!!!!

Haven't been overly scrappy lately. Nicholas has a sinus infection. He has been out of school all week. This poor kid is always sick! Gah! I did do a layout and a card for the announcement of the Darling Divas Kit Club.

I made this layout with the "Be Mine" collection from Echo Park. Lots of layers, a sticker from the pack, some prima bling and flowers and there we have it! The name of the paper collection seemed fitting for the title of my layout. This is just an everyday pic of my favorite guys (: . Love them!

Just a simple little "hi" card. Used Echo Park's "Little Girl" collection on this one. I just love working with girlie papers! Don't do it often enough! Must change that!

Here are a few pics I have taken with my new camera. Still have a lot to learn!

Like I said, still a lot to learn. But, thanks to a few friends, they are holding my hand and teaching me things! It's a whole lot of camera, but I will get used to it!

Guess that's about it for now. It's gonna be almost 70* here today! Spring Fever! Nicholas is off school for an inservice today. If he is feeling up to it, think we'll go out for lunch and try to go take some pics somewhere!

Until next time...

Love Is All Around You...

With Valentine's Day only a few days away, I'm feeling the romantic side of myself coming through. Still haven't decided what I am going to get Jason. Maybe the same ol' ....cologne, boxers, roses, etc. Who knows?!?!? Better question is...what will Jason get me? LOL. Yeah, I said it out loud. We all know Valentine's Day is more about the woman. His best to date was a night away in Philadelphia. He had flowers, a bottle of our favorite wine, a teddy bear and a Tiffany's necklace for me. Aaah, the romance. Definitely does begin to fade after the first couple years. I mean, he's still romantic, but not like he was. LOL ...guess he figures he got me now! And, he's right.

I am still anxiously awaiting my tax return to hit the bank account. I have a good bit of it spent already. I decided that I am going to buy a Canon Rebel. Yep, I'm doing it. It's a whole lotta camera, but I think I will be okay. I love the pictures it takes! I think the shots with water involved are the ones that amaze me the most. So much detail...it's like you are right there. I can't wait! I also have a HUGE shopping cart of scrappy goodness waiting for me to submit! Lots of new Prima....beautiful bling and flowers! EEK! I am going to try to hold out until some of the new paper collections hit the site before I order. Can't wait to get my hands on the new Echo Park "For the Record" line! So lovely!!!! Love a couple of the new Bo Bunny lines and the new Crate Paper, too! Gah...it's gonna be a big order!!! Oh well, CHA only happens twice a year. LOL

Was glad to see the Green Bay Packers win the SuperBowl. I didn't do anything exciting for the game. Just watched it here at home. It was definitely a good game. Enjoyed the commercials, too. Wasn't so impressed with the half-time show. But, you'll have this. Not to mention our National Anthem being completely botched up....WOW!

Anywho....I'm leaving you with 3 Valentine's Day cards I made...

Made this one using Bo Bunny's "Crush" line, some Prima bling and flowers. This just may be the card I give Jason...not sure yet.

AAAH...why is it doing that again? I thought it was done flipping images on me. Oh well, you will have to pretend this card is the right way. Used Fancy Pants "Love Birds" on this one. These papers are just too cute for words!

Last, but not least...made this one with Echo Park's "Be Mine" line. Love, love, love these papers! Again, some prima bling and flower!

Off to scrap some more....maybe a layout today? Who knows, but definitely feeling creative (:

Until next time....

Game Day!!!

Well, in just a few short hours, we will know who the winner of Super Bowl XLV is....who will win the Vince Lombardi trophy. I'm rooting for the Packers. I know, I know, I live in PA, I should root for the Steelers. Nope, not this girl. I am a die-hard Eagles fan. Therefore, cannot root for the "other" PA team. Go Packers, go!!!!

I do have one layout to share. I am ready for Spring. I feel I have done more than my fair share of winter layouts this year.

Nicholas was being silly on the deck during a recent snowstorm. Look closely at the picture, he is cracking up laughing. Used Fancy Pants "Hot Chocolate" line on this one. Love the colors in these papers!

I filed my income taxes this week. Cannot wait to get the money back!! I am buying a new computer and a new camera. Squee!!!! I love, love, love tax time! It's like hitting the jackpot for a single mom! I'm sure Nich will get a few XBox games, too. He already has his list made up of what he wants. He's no dummy, LOL.

Off to get ready to go to Red Robin for lunch. I'm craving their mushroom/swiss burger!

Until next time...

Alright stop collaborate and listen...

Before you ask...yes, the title is from the lyrics of "Ice Ice Baby". It is all I see when I look out my windows and my doors, so it felt appropriate. Thank Goodness I did not have to drive anywhere in it. Fortunately we did not lose electricity. We did, however, lose cable for most of the morning today. This was a tragedy for Nicholas...he couldn't get on the internet, watch TV or play his XBox Live. It couldn't come on soon enough. We are back up and running now...PHEW!

This blog post is long overdue. Or, maybe I have just been scrapping a lot more than normal lately. I have 5 layouts to share. I've been on a scrapping "high" lately, so I'm rolling with it!!

Ok...can anyone tell me WHY my layouts are posting sideways on here? They are normal/right side up in my document folder. GAH!!!! HELP!!
Anyway...this is Nicholas posing for a photo op on a recent snow day. Used Bo Bunny's "midnight frost" papers. Some prima flowers and bling and there ya' have it.

Well, at least this one is right side up! This is Nicholas (of course) being silly in Hobby Lobby. He felt the need to dance around with a boa around his neck! Gotta love that they matched this paper perfectly! Used Bo Bunny's "crush" line on this one. Thanks so much Jillie for sending them to me....I heart you!!

OK, now I'm getting irritated! So, again...let's pretend this is right. I used Echo Park's "wintertime" papers and embellies on here. Used some stickles and prima pearls on the flourish.

Here's Jason and I at the Dave Matthews Band concert this past July. Used Echo Park's "Be Mine" collection on here (thanks Jill). The flowers are all prima. The title is from a "Friends" episode. Phoebe tells Ross to hold out for Rachel because she is his lobster...that lobsters fall in love for life. My friend, Julie Howard, made the comment that Jason was my lobster and it just stuck. Did this one for her (:

Lastly, here's one of my little guy when he was about 1 1/2 years old. The pic was taken on Mother's Day...hence the "I Love Mommy" t-shirt. Used Fancy Pants "Love Birds" line on this one. Actually did some fussy cutting on this one. I'm not a big fan of doing it myself, but I love the way it looks!

Well, hopefully I can get it figured out why some of my pics are posting sideways. If not....sorry. Your eyes are not going wonky...they really are sideways!

Off to scrap another winter layout....sigh! Until next time...
