Johnny and Jill...

Well, other than the weather, I don't have much to talk about today. It was 2 degrees when I woke up this morning. Brr! Yeah, that makes you want to crawl out from under the nice warm covers, especially on a Monday! NOT! Only 55 more days until Spring...we can do this!!!!

Just dropping off a layout...
OK....is this layout crooked on your computer? It is here on mine. Oh well, makes it all the more funny! This is Jillian Cassity and her hubby, John. I laugh and laugh every time I look at this pic. Jill always says "Arf! Arf!" to me, so the title just seemed perfect!

Used Bo Bunny's "petal pushers" line of paper and chipboard on this one. The flowers are from Michael's...recollections, I think. Used my dymo and my white signo for the doodling!

Hope everyone has a wonderful start to their week!

Until next time....

Banana Fana Fo Fana....Banana!!

Happy Saturday! It is a bone-chilling 8 degrees here right now! Brrr! Well, gives me a good excuse to stay in the house and scrapbook! Yay!! I am so over this winter thing. Every few days we are getting some form of winter precipitation...snow, freezing rain, sleet, YUCK! I take every nasty word I said about how hot this past summer was. EVERY SINGLE ONE. A girl can't take much more of this. Anywho...what's been going on. Nicholas and I both had and recovered from the stomach flu. WOW...what a rough 30 hours we both had to deal with. Almost wish we would have had it at the same time! Poor kid, turns around 3 days later and has a double ear infection. He's on amoxicillin, which he loves. Heck, so do I! Love, love, love that pink stuff!

I got my w2's in the mail this week. Can't wait to get my taxes done. Love the *extra* money. I think I am going to buy a new computer. This one is quite a few years old, and I don't know how much longer it will keep on truckin'. The only thing I am not super excited about is Windows 7. I love Windows XP. But, it is what it is. Maybe I will really end up liking it. Not sure what else I'll do with the money. I'm sure there is at least a video game or ten out there that Nicholas would like to have (:

Can't really think of anything else right now. It is super cold (as I mentioned already) and super early. The first cup of coffee hasn't done its magic yet! Cannot leave without posting the layout that I did a few days ago:
This is a pic of Nich on his first day of soccer practice back in '08. He was 6 in this picture. He was so excited to be playing soccer and to be part of the team!
Used Crate Paper's "school spirit" papers and chipboard on this. Love how fun and bright these papers are! The tag is Maya Road...love her stuff! Little bit of Tim Holtz distress ink pads and voila...we have a layout!!

Off to my scrapbook table!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend (o:

Until next time...

Down With The Sickness...

Oh Emm Gee!! So, there I was yesterday, at work, feeling fine. All of a sudden...BAM! I got hit by a semi or a train or something. Felt awful, just like that! Fortunately, my shift was ending in a little over a 1/2 hour. Unfortunately, I spent most of that 1/2 hour in the bathroom. EEK, I know...TMI. Left work when my relief (and my what a relief she was) got there. Ended up having to pull the car over on the way home to throw up. Yep, I knew I was sick. Guess it was the flu that I had/have. I'm on the home stretch now, just feeling really weak and tired. Also have a killer headache. But, wow...what a day and a half. Geez! I don't think I would wish it on my worst enemy. Well, maybe...LOL.

Nothing much new to report. Man, I lead a boring life. Oh well, boring is good sometimes, I guess. Here's a layout I did for the challenge over at Fave Things. You can check it out here: http://whatisyourfavething.blogspot.com/. Had such a fun time doing this layout. It was to scrap your favorite quote:
I picked the quote: "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world". Obviously, a pic of Jason. We were at a wine tasting...yummy! Used Basic Grey's "Curio" line on this layout. I actually did some fussy cutting. Used quite a few flowers on here, too! Oh well, flowers are pretty!!!

Off to get some sleep, so glad I am off work again tomorrow. Had to take a sick day today, but tomorrow is day off.

Until next time...

*Insert Clever Blog Post Title Here*...

Just another layout drop off...rushing to get out the door this morning. You would think with a 2 hour school delay, we would have plenty of time and everything would run smoothly....NOPE!
Nicholas opening his gifts on Christmas morning. Used MME "holly jolly" line on this layout. Love this collection! Actually, there is a little AC Dear Lizzy on here, too....the music sheet behind the picture. Hard to see, but the Santa and the holly have glossy accents on them.
Thanks for looking! Off to work.

Until next time...

Don't Eat Yellow Snow....

...is what I really wanted to call this layout! LOL . But, I chose not to. Nothing really new to report, so I'm just dropping a layout off. Lots and lots of Stickles on this one!! Wanted to capture the cold, snowy feel! Used the Bo Bunny "Winter Joy" line on this one.

Wish I had some sort of exciting news to talk about. We're expecting more snow tomorrow...but, I don't find that too exciting! So....

Until next time...

Amazed...

Was snowed in today, so took full advantage of the day. I will admit, I didn't even take a shower. Deemed it "stay in jammies and do a bunch of nothing" day. And, this is what we did....nothing! Well, Nicholas played a bunch of XBox and I scrapped. Did do some organizing of my scrap stuff...boy, the heap just keeps growing and growing. My scrapbook table looks like a paper factory threw up on it. Looks a little better now, not much. Oh well, it is my table...nobody else's!!

Wanted to post my layout I did today. Valentine's Day is coming up quick! I always feel more lovey-lovey at this time of the year. So, it's one of me and Jason...

This is my favorite picture EVER of Jas and I. It was almost 4 years ago and just a Chuck E. Cheese sketch we paid one token for. I just love the way our noses are all smooshed in.

Used Bo Bunny's "Crazy Love" pp line and chipboard embellies. Maya road and Prima flowers.

The title comes from the Lone Star song "Amazed". The journaling is words to the song:
"I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you"

**not a very good pic of the layout, as it is an inside picture. It is snowing here and don't know when I will get outside to take one.**

**in case anyone is wondering where the "doilie" came from, it is the plastic prima packaging from the flowers...I just cut it apart.**

Tomorrow we are going to hit the PA Farm Show. It's a good time, I suppose. Nich really enjoys going. I enjoy the food and of course, the photo ops!

Off to play some Battleship. Maybe this is the time that I will finally beat him. Doubtful! LOL

Until next time....

Merry Christmas, Darling...

Finally! Back at the computer and able to spend a few minutes catching up with my blog! The main thing standing in my way is Nicholas. Our laptop bit the dust, so we are down to just one computer for now. He has so many games on here to play, that my computer time seems to be slim and none lately. But, he is at school and I am off today, so here I am!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Of course, Nicholas' birthday is on Christmas Day as well. I bought him a birthday cake and we started off our Christmas morning with birthday cake and milk. I never in a million years would have thought that he would wake up at 3:45 am, but he did. Part of me wanted to tell him to let me sleep for about 3 or 7 more hours, but the "good mommy" in me got up! I lit the candles, sang happy birthday and ate cake at 3:45 am. Then, we opened presents. I think Nich was pretty pleased with the gifts that he received. Got quite a few xbox games...dang, those suckers are expensive. I tried to explain to him that his gifts are getting more and more expensive, so there will not be as much to open under the tree. Of course, Santa still brings him what he "really" wants...lol.
He got me a pair of slippers. He knew how much I wanted a new pair. He also did the sweetest thing for me as a total suprise. My parents got him a visa gift card as one of his gifts. He asked me what my favorite perfume was. So, I told him. Never really thinking twice of it. 2 days later, I get an email of confirmation that my "Inis" perfume has been sent. He ordered it for me with his own money. What a wonderful boy! He was so happy to give it to me. Of course, I cried. Made this old heart just melt.

Trying to get back into scrapping regularly now that all the hoopla is over. I did a layout last night...Christmas one, big shocker.
Used the Basic Grey "Jovial" line on this one. Love the true Christmas colors! The papers are just gorgeous! Used some glimmer mist, distress ink around the edges and some glossy accents on the snowman and the pressies. Threw on some thickers as the title (creative title, I know) and there it is.

Hope everyone is getting back to normalcy! Time to make the doughnuts...well, dinner, anyway.

Until next time...
