OH YEAH!!!!

I made the TallyScrapper DT! Whooop! Whooop! Doing the happy dance! Now, let's just hope that I can be inspirational enough for them so they don't kick me off the team early! LOL

Can't do a drive by post without sharing a layout or 2. Here's my most recent ones:

Sideways! Gah! I thought I figured it out. Oh wells...you get the idea. Lots of EP "Splash" on this one! Title cut out with my Cricut.

This one I used MME's "Lime Twist". Love that there is finally some ORANGE out there! Not a whole lot of orange in the scrappy world!

Off to clean...blech! Hope everyone is well and wonderful. Until next time....

Sunny Days...Sweepin' The Clouds Away...

Another month has gone by. WOW. I will say it again...I really need to start blogging more. I know it has been a month, since the last blog I posted was last month's "FAVE THINGS" challenge. Anyway...let's see, what all happened this past month.

Most recent would be my kidney stones...EEEEK! Ended up in the ER in extreme pain! Thought I just had a kidney infection. Not so "lucky", I guess. But, it could have been worse...they first mentioned appendicitis. I still didn't pass any of them, but the medicine that they prescribed must be breaking them down, because the pain is much better.

I'm still keeping up with the diet/exercise/weight loss. SO far I've lost 34 pounds! This is so exciting to me! I'm starting to feel/look better than I have in years! Jason promised me a shopping trip for all new clothes when I'm ready. Can't wait! I don't buy myself a lot of clothes, so it will be a real treat! I have about 26 more to go before I'm where I think I will look awesome! I got this!!

In scrappy news.....here is my layout for FAVE THINGS this month. Our challenge is to scrap a favorite childhood toy. Mine was always my Cabbage Patch Kids. Come over and join us...we would love to have you: http://whatisyourfavething.blogspot.com/ .

My Cabbage Patch Kids were my favorite toy(s) growing up. Unfortunately, my Mother never saved anything, so I don't have any of them anymore. If I recall correctly, this is what my very first one looked like. My Aunt Donna (RIP) actually got me one for Christmas the very first year that they came out. She stood in line for hours and ended up getting smacked over the head with a lady's purse because she grabbed the last one! I was the happiest girl alive that Christmas morning!!

Here's 2 more layouts I did recently. Nich and I took a walk to the local Rita's (Italian ice place) and I took the Rebel with me and caught some good shots of him.

Notice how red the tongue is...he had a strawberry ice that day! Guess he was done with me taking his picture by this point. Used Bo Bunny's "Blast Off" line for this one.

Was playing with the aperture on the camera for this one. Love the way the pic turned out. Used Crate Paper's "Restoration" collection on this one! Lots and lots of layers!

Only 8 more days of school for Nicholas! I need to concentrate on getting a job. My butt NEEDS to get back to work. At least I won't have to worry about school and can work whatever hours over the summer. My parents will gladly watch Nich. Keep your fingers crossed, there's got to be something out there for me!

Guess that's about all....Until Next Time.....

Rolling in the Deep...

LOVE that song!!!! Love Adele! Love her voice...so amazing and powerful! Listening to this song as I am typing this, figured it would make for a perfect title.

I always say I am going to get better about blogging. Then, time manages to get the best of me and I never sit down to catch up. Anyone have any advice/suggestions on how to discipline yourself to sit down once a week and do it? I'm open to just about anything! Help me!!!

Let's see...OH! I have been going to the gym religiously for the past 7 weeks. I've been doing Zumba 7 days a week and Body Pump 5 days. Have also started working with a trainer on weight training. The good news....I am 22 pounds less of a woman than when I started! I have dropped a jean size already! Whoop! I am loving it. I seem to feel so much better...have more energy, not as tired, not as depressed, etc! I still have a ways to go to be where I want to be, but it is a good start!

On to the scrappy stuff!!!! The first layout is Nicholas being his silly self. He was 5 in this picture. He put his underwear on his head and said he was an astronaut.

Again...sorry it is sideways. Still have NO idea why it does this or how to fix it! Anyway...I used Bo Bunny's "Blast Off" line for this one (thanks Jill). Almost seems like these papers were made just for my picture!

This next layout is for "FAVE THINGS" DT. Our prompt was to scrap one of our favorite thing about Spring. I chose dyeing Easter eggs.

Nich is showing off his favorite egg that he painted. Love how his hands are all dyed, too! Used Echo Park's "Springtime" papers on this one. Lots of glimmer mist and chalk. I tried to use crackle paint on the corrugated letters to look like cracked eggs, but it didn't work out so well :(
Please come over and join our challenge at "FAVE THINGS"...we'd love to have you!!!

Guess that's about all for now...have cleaning to do today. Blech! Until next time...

Wake Up in the Morning Feeling Like P Diddy....

WOW! It has been a month since I have blogged! How does time just get the best of you? Geez Louise!

Today is the day that the new challenge went up on "These Are a Few of My Favorite Things". The challenge is to scrap your favorite scrappy tool. This was such a fun one to do!!!! I chose to do my ATG . Decided to make this one a funny layout, as I HATED my ATG when I first got it! Here is my layout:

The letter to my ATG reads: "Dear ATG,
I'm writing this to you in hopes that you will be able to forgive me. I didn't always love you. In fact, in the beginning, I didn't even like you. I was still cheating on you with others. I have, however learned a valuable lesson. My love for you grows stronger and stronger every day. Will you please accept my apology and be forever mine? <3, Melissa"

I used Crate Paper's "Emma Shoppe" collection on this one. Some prima bling and flowers, staz on ink and of course, my ATG!!!!!!

Please come over and join in on the challenge....we would love to have you!!! http://whatisyourfavething.blogspot.com/

Just Another Manic Monday...

...wish it were Sunday, 'cause that's my fun day... OH, my bad, I'm supposed to be writing a blog post here, not singing! Even though it is yucky and rainy outside, in addition to being Monday, I do have a couple EXCITING things to share!!

First of all...today is the day a new challenge is up at "These Are A Few of My Favorite Things". The challenge this time is to scrap your favorite feature. Is it your hair, your face, your daughter's smile? Can be you or someone else! This was such a fun challenge to do!! It was also my very first DT layout for "Fave Things"!! Hope I made "Boss Lady" proud! Please come over to the blog and join us in the challenge: http://www.whatisyourfavething.blogspot.com/.
Here is my layout:

My favorite feature has always been my eyes. It's funny, when I was younger, I used to get tired of hearing people compliment me on them...now I can't hear it enough.
Used Echo Park's "Little Girl" line on this layout! Love the bright colors!!!!! Some Prima, Zva Creative and Petaloo (from ma girl, Jill). All of the title letters are American Craft Thickers.

Did this layout last night. I've been doing a lot of playing around with my new camera. Nicholas has been such a good sport at letting me snap pics of him.

GAH! I thought we were past this "sideways" stuff! I don't get it!!!! Anyway...Used the new MME "Stella and Rose" line on this one. Lots of distress ink, Prima and Petaloo flowers and some Zva bling! Again, all the letters are American Crafts Thickers. The title "My Life Would Suck Without You" is a Kelly Clarkson song.

Thought I would share a few more pics I took with the camera. I'm loving it now that I am not so afraid of it.

We had a fun day yesterday! Went out for lunch and then to Fort Hunter and Italian Lake for some play and picture taking! Can't wait until our next nice day to get out again!

I should be getting my first "Darling Divas" kit in the mail any day now! Can't wait to start scrapping with it!!!

Well, it's time to make the doughnuts...not really, but I have stuff to do today. Wish I could just stay home...hate the rain! Oh well, I guess I won't melt.

Until next time...
